Dedicated Educator Committed to Student Success

Educator Committed to Public Education

I'm running for school board because I believe in the power of public education to change lives. I've dedicated 29 years to public education - as a teacher, a school administrator, and a district-level director. I've spent my career working to ensure that every student, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to the opportunities and support they need to succeed.

But this isn't just my profession - it's personal. I'm also a parent of two children who have attended or are attending public schools, so I understand firsthand what families want and need from their school system. I know how important it is that every child walks into a school where they feel safe, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential.

Why am I qualified?

I bring a unique perspective to the school board because I've seen education from every angle.

  • As a teacher, I worked directly with students and families, learning what it takes to keep kids engaged, supported, and on a path to success.
  • As a school administrator, I saw the challenges our schools - balancing budgets, supporting teachers, and making sure we provide a high-quality education for all students.
  •  As a district-level director, I worked on the bigger picture - helping to shape policies, implement programs, and ensure that schools had the resources they needed to be successful.

This experience has given me the knowledge and leadership skills to make informed, thoughtful decisions that will benefit our schools, our students, and our community.

What do I stand for?

I believe every student deserves a fair chance at success - no matter their zip code, learning style, or personal circumstances. That means:

  • Fully funding our schools so teachers have the resources they need to be effective, and students have access to high-quality programs, technology, and support services.
  • Supporting our educators and school staff - because when we invest in our teachers, administrators, classified staff, and bus drivers, we invest in our students' future.
  • Prioritizing equity - making sure that we identify and remove barriers so that every child has the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Strengthening our schools as the heart of our community - where families feel welcome, students feel safe, and learning is both engaging and meaningful.

Why am I running for school board?

Because I know what's at stake. I've seen what happens when schools don't get the support they need, and I know the difference that strong leadership can make. Public education is the foundation of a thriving society, and I want to use my experience to ensure that our schools have the leadership, funding, and vision they need to serve every child well.

But I can't do this alone - I need your support. Whether it's your vote, a conversation with a neighbor, or spreading the word about this campaign, every effort counts. Together, we can make a real difference for our students, our educators, and our community.

Thank you, and I look forward to working with you to build stronger schools for a brighter future.
